Alsalam Aerospace Industries

Alsalam Aerospace Industries (formerly Alsalam Aircraft Company) was established in 1988: “a joint venture between Boeing,
Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saudi Advanced Industries Corp., Gulf
Investment Corp. and National Investment Corp.” (Boeing Frontiers, July 2011)

The company’s website states that it was “initiated in order for the Kingdom to be self-sufficient in commercial and military aircraft maintenance, overhaul and modifications through technology transfer and the development of Saudi nationals.”

Its military manufacturing activity includes wings and forward fuselages for the F-15SA combat aircraft. Its military maintenance work includes that on Typhoon, Tornado and F-15 combat aircraft.
