Bechtel

Bechtel is listed by SIPRI as being the 18th largest arms and military services company in the world, despite only 14% of its sales being military.

It describes itself as “a global engineering, construction, and project management” company that operates through “four global businesses: Infrastructure; Nuclear, Security & Environmental; Oil, Gas & Chemicals; and Mining & Metals.” (Bechtel, about us)

Bechtel states that it is “A major defense contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century.” (Bechtel, Defense & Nuclear Security)

The company is heavily involved in US nuclear weapon and naval programmes, and presently has two contracts with the UK MoD to “transform the delivery of military support services”.
