GE is a massive company that’s headquartered in the US and has operations in 130 countries.
Despite only 3% of its sales being in the military field, GE is consistent ranked in the top 30 largest arms companies in the world in terms of turnover from military activity. Its other businesses include Renewable Energy, Healthcare and Transportation.
GE’s military work is situated in its Aviation business which produces civil and military aircraft engines and power and mechanical systems. Its Annual Report states that “Our military engines power a wide variety of military aircraft including fighters, bombers, tankers, helicopters and surveillance aircraft, as well as marine applications… Our military engine installed base was approximately 26,600 units as of December 31, 2019.”
