Navistar manufactures trucks and buses for civil use and a range of military vehicles. It is based in the United States and Navistar Defense also has a site in the UK.

The announcement also stated that “Navistar Defense has delivered nearly 7,000 trucks and buses to Iraq through foreign military sales contracts” since 2004.
