Roketsan was founded in 1988 by the Turkish government, initially to supply the Turkish armed forces with rockets and missiles, but later moving on to supply other countries. Its main facility is close to Ankara.
Its products include artillery rockets, Multi-Barrel Rocket Launching systems, anti-submarine rockets, anti-tank missiles and cruise missiles, including the SOM-J air-to-surface missile intended for use by the F-35 combat aircraft.
