CAAT is recruiting interim Steering Committee members

CAAT’s Steering Committee is responsible for overseeing the work of CAAT, providing strategic guidance, setting and monitoring CAAT’s finances, acting as employer to the CAAT staff, and fulfilling the legal responsibilities of Directors of CAAT. Full Steering Committee meetings take place 4 times a year.

We have recognised some gaps in our skills and experiences on the CAAT Steering Committee. In order to remain a strong and efficient governance team we need to recruit new members with expertise in areas where we are currently lacking. We are looking for people to serve in an interim capacity, from January to December 2022, to help guide a process of organisational change as we seek to transition to new governance structures.

The specific skills and experiences we are looking for include:

  • Governance, organisational management/change
  • Experience of working with campaigning organisations
  • Understanding of, and experience of dealing with, issues of power and privilege, diversity and inclusion.
  • Fundraising

If you have skills and experience in any of these areas we’d love to hear from you. It is not expected that one individual will necessarily have such skills and experience in all of these areas. We would particularly welcome applications from people of colour.

Please note these are voluntary positions, although CAAT covers travel expenses for attending Steering Committee meetings. Being a member of Steering Committee is a rewarding role where you will be working with a dedicated and friendly team keen to making change possible.

The deadline for applications is 31 December. To get an application pack, and for any questions you may have about the role, please email [email protected].

CAAT would not exist without its supporters. Each new supporter helps us strengthen our call for an end to the international arms trade.
