De-list Palestine Action! Protest is not terrorism!

This is an attack on our civil liberties, an attack on our right to protest, and an attack on our rights to speak up for Palestinian people.

Today is a dark day for democracy, and for our freedoms as citizens.

Today, a Labour government has become the first government to proscribe a protest movement as terrorists.

CAAT is supporting the campaign to resist the ban by supporting campaigning and legal action to de-list Palestine Action as a terrorist group.

We have a long and proud history of direct action in this country, a history that has won us many of the rights we take for granted. This is an attack on our civil liberties, an attack on our right to protest, and an attack on our rights to speak up for Palestinian people.

Palestine Action may be banned, but there are groups around the country taking action against genocide profiteers who are not Palestine Action.

We still have the right to protest at arms companies. We still have the right to say we do not want companies complicit in Israel’s horrific war crimes in our communities.

These are scary times. But it is essential these actions continue. It is essential we still continue resisting the arms trade. It is essential that we continue standing up for Palestinian people.

CAAT would not exist without its supporters. Each new supporter helps us strengthen our call for an end to the international arms trade.
