“The situation in Yemen is catastrophic. We must act”

Journalists within Saudi often face persecution, but two Saudi nationals based in the UK have started a new media channel with the aim of “building bridges between the people of Arabia and the people around the world”. Their first post to inaugurate the channel is a report on a recent meeting on arms sales to Saudi in Bolton.

You can watch their video report of the event below, and follow them on twitter @Mngro_com.

Here, they explain why they’re taking action as part of the Stop Arming Saudi campaign:

Coming from Saudi Arabia, my friend and I are so happy to support the Campaign Against the Arms Trade. It is away to show our solidarity with you. Also, we are in solidarity with the people of Yemen. We are against the Saudi war on Yemen.

We attended the event at the Friends Meeting House in Bolton last Sunday. Our voice comes from the video we published to support CAAT and the Yemenis.

We will do everything possible to stop this immoral war. The Yemenis are suffering. They have enough of bombing and destruction. The situation in Yemen is catastrophic. We must act to help the people of Yemen.

CAAT would not exist without its supporters. Each new supporter helps us strengthen our call for an end to the international arms trade.
