British military equipment exported to the UAE is being used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to commit atrocities in Sudan.
This includes British engines, made by Cummins Inc, found in armoured vehicles and British-made small arms target devices made by Militec.
The British government has a long, brutal history of colonial violence in Sudan, and the legacy of this continues today. Recent official government arms export data for the second quarter of 2025 shows that the third largest recipient of UK arms export licences was the UAE, with £172m of military equipment. Evidently, despite the government having knowledge that the UAE is diverting military equipment to the RSF, it has increased arms sales instead of ending them.
