Arms fairs don’t organise themselves – a lot of work goes into inviting the right mix of buyers and sellers.
Clarion Events claims to be “one of the world’s leading events organisers“, running 200 trade exhibitions in over 50 countries. Headquartered in London, Clarion covers seven core market sectors: Retail & Home; Enthusiast; Energy & Resources; Defence & Security; Gaming; Technology; and Life Sciences. Well known events include the Baby Show, PlayFair and the Spirit of Christmas.
Under the company’s Defence & Security umbrella, Clarion is the world’s largest arms fair organiser and promoter, having accumulated 25 military and security events globally.
Their most high-profile product is the infamous Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI), one of the world’s largest arms fairs, which is held biennually in London. New arms fairs established by Clarion include the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC), inaugurated in 2017, and Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX), inaugurated in 2018. Both events are “fully supported” by the countries’ militaries.
