Parallel Markets: corruption in the international arms trade

A lecture by Joe Roeber on corruption in the international arms trade…

This report is from a lecture given by the late Joe Roeber in 2005, a political economist who was a lecturer at London University as well as a journalist for the Times and the
Economist. He was also a member of Transparency International, the nongovernmental organisation devoted to combating corruption, and conducted extensive research into corruption in the international arms trade.

This report demonstrates that the arms trade is the most corrupt sector of international trade, and provides explanations as to why this is so, with key examples.

CAAT would not exist without its supporters. Each new supporter helps us strengthen our call for an end to the international arms trade.
