This brief fact sheet sets out the legal context relating to arms transfers in countries involved in the F-35 combat aircraft programme, and legal challenges to arms sales to Israel in these and other countries, in particular in relation to the transfer of components for the F-35 to Israel, directly or via the US or other partner nations.

This fact sheet accompanies the open letter signed by 232 organisations worldwide, published on 18 February 2025, to the governments of the F-35 partner nations calling on them to end arms sales to Israel, in particular the F-35 and its components.
